On the MOTD is it ok SK if you could put something along the lines of 'if someone is playnig hlss mute them instead of making them stop beacuse other people could like it' cus it annoying when me/maddin or others are useing hlss adn they are getting abusive cus they cant work a simple mute button btw getting abusive at admin with hlss is very unwise

no....shout abuse!!!
Lol..
"Other people could like it, but chances are they don't, so STFU already!"
I agree with people that moan, people come to play a game not to listen to someone elses music collection. The server isnt specifically there for playing music. I can only suggest you ask them to mute you.

Many people started a votekick and even a voteban at me for playing music without even ASKING me to stop. Damn idiots...

I always tell people to mute the music player/s if they start moaning but one of the problems is that sometimes the mute function is unavailable. Im not sure whether this is a Steam related bug or SC related.

I too always tell ppl to mute if they dont want to hear the music etc, but as Prom says this function doesnt always work.
I have suggested in the past abt maybe only allowing music on the fun map days (Tues & Fri). Maybe this would be an idea worth considering ? That way when so called 'normal' maps are being played it doesnt annoy other gamers.

Its not impossible to mute, its just extremely hard. U need to press exacly when the blue line comes, which is hard. Tho I`ve managed to mute every persons that annoys.
You really need a 1024x768 Resolution to be able to mute easily. Anything below is quite a struggle.

Yes
Zip it sonny or you're banned !!!!
I reckon that would work ;)
There isnt, but there should be. I use 1024x768, although recently im using 800x600 as I think my card or cpu is over heating and causing the system to lock up. I should really try to fix it.

Maybe a mute command in the next version of SC?
Think its more of a halflife command than an SC command thats needed.

ok 2 mute all u do is press and hold tab adn click then move ure cursor over the selected player adn when it highlights click adn muted
I know about that, but like I said if you play in anything below 1024x768 resolution its hard to mute players. Valve need to fix in game dialog boxes. Supprise supprise they work fine in CS.
A command is a typed command into the console. Something like "mute playername".

Or "mute steamid" and than there would be a mute file in which the people you've muted are.
(weird sentence)

Yeah, there must be a file that it uses to put muted people.
