Im not only coming here to report something that happened 30 seconds ago.
This happends to me all the time. Its ONLY at the fight club server... Ive NEVER gotten it anywhere else on steam. Ive also typed cl_rate/rate 10000 all the time with no results. So 90% times when the fight club changes map I`m overflowing, and as I see who`s left on the server in server view, everybodys there exept me. Is there any way to fix this? Its EXTREMELY ANNOYING to join a different server for this reason and not coming back until an hour or two (I cant join the server without overflow before I join the game in until that period is over) :confused:

Mine has been doing it since the update.
I've noticed that Steam keeps changing my connection settings in the, um, Steam connection settings.
It does it on more CPU entensive maps. Rampage atm seems to be the most popular at doing this. I think the error is when the server cant send enough data to a connecting client due to it doing so many calculations. I think this is happening more to this server as indeed the server is only a P3 700mhz. Its got worse since newer steam updates have appeared which can only bring me to think its the server struggling. Fix...well to upgrade I guess?

Well if the server ever gets an upgrade it will be old components from this PC. The server was purely voluntary.

Steam is a F**king bitch I say. It started crashing on my comp all the time.
Cant help in your problem, I got a own onw.

bah, i just started getting it for the first time aswell. I tried the cl_rate 10000 thing, but when i enter it nothing happens, should there be a confirmation message with it or something?

Well the server would only allow you a max of 10000 anyway. I just changed it now to 15000.

try setting it to 5, then to 50,000 and see if you notice any particular difference.
