- Half-Life 2 multiplayer is Counter-Strike on the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships. Counter-Strike gameplay doesn't seem to have changed much, if at all. Graphics of course, are much improved.
- Half-Life 1 is also ported over to the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships.
- During the presentation, Gabe Newell reiterated that Half-Life 2 is shipping this summer, although no specific date was given.
- Team Fortress 2 was not mentioned at all.

no tf2 yet then - but it will happen sooner or later

If they drop rocket jumping and conc jumping then i shall stamp my feet, those 2 things are half the fun of playing TFC.

Great the main aspect of MultiPlayer is CS? Why cant they just leave CS as a mod?

Thats what i am looking forward to. That and all the new MODS that are expected to come after HL2, some of them look very nice indeed.

(The only reason i am buyin HL2 is for the MODS/MP, i dont care about the SP, that can come later.)

As far as I've read, the games currently being converted to the Source engine are;

Half Life
Counter Strike
Team Fortress Classic
Day of Defeat
Don't know at this time whether or not they will ship with HL2 or if you will have to pay a nominal sum for the upgrades.

Comment from a Valve representative (Can't remember if it was Gabe or not) said that they hoped that DoD would be converted before HL2 shipped.

;)
