Anyone here going to be buying a PS3? Way out of my price range. Seems a hefty price but as others have pointed out you also get a Blue-ray player out of it. When you compare the PS3's price to this (http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/1135114/Samsung_BD_P1000_Blu_ray_Disc_Player/Product.html) player your getting a bargain Blue-ray player. Personally I wouldn't buy a player worth that much. Certainly when the fate of Blue-ray and HD-DVD's haven't been decided. It's like VHS and BetaMax all over again.

I'll say it before Miz does, anyone fancy buying me a PS3? ;)

I don't want one.
I wouldn't turn one down, but I wouldn't ask for one either.

Now im not a fan of Sony but I did like there PS2;
it seems too much for a console and you get can get a PC for the same price.

I got an Xbox360 Premium with 3games and a GRAW Faceplate for the same price as the PS3 20Gb model.

Im still saveing for a Nintendo Wii
but if someone was offering it for free I would have it

I would personally go with Xbox 360 or Wii. I'm not going to buy any console in a while. I'm going to spend my money on a new computer (about time to upgrade).

Let's make a deal. You buy me a new computer (2000£ should be enough) and I'll buy you a PS3.

Iam happy with my Wii. No need to buy a overpowered and overpriced Console like PS3. The motion sensing controller thingy isnt working that fine and they dont have any ruble feature -.-

Btw anyone wanna buy my Cyclowiz V2 when it arrives here? :p

I'm disappointed with the lack of games for the Wii. The only game worth buying is Zelda for me so far. I like the Virtual Console but annoyed that they arn't cheap to buy. I mean £8ish for an old retired N64 game? Not like they didn't make enough money from when they resold all SNES games on the GBAdvanced.

Thats the reason why i gonna use a modchip. Did you already purchase some virtual console games? I didnt purchase any of em yet. Played Wario Ware with a friend of mine on Saturday. The Mini-Games are great fun :D

i havent even been on the internet with my Wii yet, never got round to setting it up.

as for Sk's point about the games, i agree but since i dont have zelda i probably dont have the same high expectation as you, since im quite bleased with Red Steel and Far Cry :p

should have got an Xbox imo,

My brother got one, kept it for 3months and then sold it to get an Xbox,
sold it because of no games. good for a cheap Blu-Ray player tho..

I looked at the Xbox but the Blu-Ray player feature was the highlight feature. Just like the PS2 was my first DVD player.

The PlayStation 3 was first released on November 11, 2006, in Japan,[11] November 17, 2006 in North America, and March 23, 2007 in Europe and Oceania, with two stock keeping units (SKUs): a basic version with a 20 GB hard disk drive (HDD), and a premium version with a 60 GB HDD and several additional features. (The 20 GB version was not released in Europe or Oceania.) Since then, the console has had several revisions made to its available SKUs and has faced stiff competition from the other seventh generation consoles. As of January 1, 2008, the PS3 is in third place in home console sales for its generation.
