Although this is mentioned in another thread, it appears that a lot of people are unaware of #thebanlist IRC room.

As well as finding us on the forums you can also find us here:

IRC = Internet Relay Chat..... You can download a chat program here (http://www.mirc.com/)

#thebanlist is a general chatroom where everyone is welcome, please remember though that the room has people of all ages in it, so keep it nice and treat others with respect. Bad language or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. Continuous spamming of the channel will result in a temporary ban.

After you install mIRC you should be able to click this link which will fire up mIRC and automatically take you to the correct server and channel. :cool:

Quakenet is slow?

Quakenet is the biggest IRC network. Its also been my home for the past few years.

Too slow has in slow to connect ¬_¬ and has crappier services. Oh well if ya dont wanna change its up to you I suppose. Destroyer: I have a good IRC client..its called X-Chat, though the bas**** who made it is now CHARGING for the builds which is outrageous IMO.

Funily enough that slow connection is your end. You can fix it by opening port 113 so you ident properly. It takes me 1 second to connect.

More intructions please. I connect slow but I can never remember how to set up the port forwarding on the router.
