This weekend, August 11 to August 13, you'll find yourself twice as likely to nab a rare drop from any chest in Cantha. And, to help you get into those chests, you will also notice an increase in the drop rate for keys, too! Come along this weekend and see what you can add to your collection of cool items! The fun starts at Noon PDT on Friday, and ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Sunday.

Had crossed my mind. I was pretty annoyed after wasting 3 or so hours in the deep like we did. There has been though some sort of event going off every weekend for a while now.

I'd definitely say it's an apology and as you say SK probabley a good time to farm, Vermin here i come.

why vermins?
i think i just buy tons of kurzick keys and go chest hunting with henchies in drazach thicket(easy mobs, gold drops from chests, coz no1 can run there)

Thats the point, you dont need to buy keys. Solo farming should drop alot of keys.

Helps towards Wisdom titles I guess though. Upgrades are sometimes max too.
