Ok, this is all about a test i heard of to improve hand eye co-ordination (apparently)
Anyway, a few weeks back after a school cricket match i got asked if i'd play for a club outside of school because i'd had a fluke performance both with the bat and bowling... So i was like "Yeah Ok, Ill give it a go"
Anyway, been for the last 3/4 weeks and they were jsut assessing me before they wanted to get to some serious coaching, And they finally decided...:
"You're good both with the bat and ball, but your not perfect, you have the strength to make a good player but we need to work on the brain element of that" - this is what the coach told me, i thought he was implying that i was thick but its actually to do with my co-ordination, apparently.
So, i was given a simple test to help improve this, its not very fun and im not sure if it is even helping but i'm gona keep at it till they decide they see/dont see and improvement....
_______________
THE TEST!!:
Use a small ball, anything, tennis ball, cricket ball, bouncy ball, anything around that size.
Stand 1-2 metres away from a wall, preferably one thats taller than yourself....
Throw the ball ONE HANDED at the wall with either hand, and catch it ONE HANDED with the other.
To test yourself, get someone to time you for a minute and count how many youve done, and psot your results here if you like...
Makes you look like a flaming idiot doing a little kids P.E challenge, but i'm gona do it just because i was told to!
Try it, its harder than it sounds if you've only got one hand that you can write with properly... (like me) :(
