If youv'e noticed im quiet recently its because this game is sucking up all my spare time :(

I suppose its right. I find the very start and early quests boring. I then found out about the missions and then got hooked. Maybe you didn't play it enough, just like I did the first time?
As soon as you hit Yaks Bend and can add 6 players to a party the game becomes alot more fun.

Looking at his monk build its a fighter and healer. Not exactly making use of the path hes chosen. He's also playing with henchmen; henchmen are boring! He might also want to use a staff and off hand item that is for a monk not for the elementalist and necromancer classes.
If he took the time to read what item's hes using he might have had a better time. At best the guy would have been doing 1 to 3 damage to every enemy. Kinda reflects when you see the pictures of him faced down on the floor.

I never really tried Eve Online, because the permadeath of ships sounds pretty lame. Get an awesome ship, then get it destroyed, and you'll cry for several hours. No thanks.

I think I preferred DAoC - you paid for it but imho it is better insofar as you can see the level of everyone and everymob around you and they are colour coded like the weapons, armour and other objects. Gray, green and blue are below your level, yellow is about your level but you might be able to take on an orange. Reds are good for xp if you have a group and sometimes to lowely purples if your lucky. Generally, if you see a purp - you run.

I think with the recent graphics upgrade it will be much better looking too but still not as good as GW.

GW is good and pretty (and free to play!!!) but it just seems to be lacking.

I'll probably play it some more but just because I'm too tight arsed at the moment to subscribe back to DAoC.

You can see the level of monsters. Click on them (although this normally attacks them too). You can also just press tab to switch between targeted enemies without actually attacking them. Same with other players you can see their level. This also shows what skill they are using. Useful for using interrupting skills on them.

Once you work out what enemy they are you can judge how much grief they are going to give you. Personally I fear Necromancers and mainly Mesmer’s. These both have high health/energy drains and also remove enhancements making all battles very tough.
Warrior based enemies tend to be the easiest (but slowest) ones to kill.

Now that you’re out of pre-searing hopefully I or someone else can show you around a bit. It's quite boring questing on your own/with henchmen. Luckily you’re a warrior which is probably the easiest class to play.

if you fear both mesmers and necros, sk then im your worst nightmare since i allways use N/Me or Me/N combinations in pvp ;) but i allways die first since they all know if they dont kill me first they will be the ones lying on the ground.
