good servers

i'm getting a bit fed up with been hammered by cheats on the servers ive been playin lately, yeah i know there are some good players around but i started playin HL about 6 years ago shortly after it's release and have plyd CS since day 1, i don't claim to be ace at the game but going 8 or 10-0 down within 10 mins whilst playing on a map that i know like the back of my hand is beyond a ****ing joke..

i have got my own server but it's very quiet during the week daytimes which i when i tend to get time off work..i would really like to find a server(s) that has admins on that boots these no-life pricks and is populated by fair players only..

i'm getting to the stage where i'll probably end up booting good players off my server who don't cheat but the way i think is why should i spend 15 or 20 mins watching someone who is probably cheating when i could just boot them and get back to my gaming straight away..it's a sad state of affairs but that is the way i'm feeling with it atm..i guess thats what brought me to this site in the first place..

so hopefully there is some like minded server admins reading this who could point me to their server..

try this thread (http://forums.thebanlist.com/showthread.php?t=1805) my good man, we have a very nice CS server it is normally quite but with good people on ok the standerd map rotation on it is a big to be desird but you can use the admin_vote_map "map name without quotes" to sort that out, the custom map list is in the above thread :p, but the maps are on a 120min rotation :eek:

I play on a TFC server with the same problem. Whilst its not always cheating someone is normally doing something they shouldn't. Means I have to stop playing to go get a demo of them before being able to kick/ban.

CS is pretty bad. You can't seem to go anywhere and not find someone cheating. If anything since VAC came about there’s been more cheats around. What exactly has VAC2 done? I thought they found a better way of detecting cheats but obviously not. Rather than making new maps/models for CS:S they should get their cheat detection system up to scratch as it really is ruining every Steam based game/mod.

but still humman detection will always be best, i watched 2 people yesterda on our CS server, 1 had a wall hack and anouther with aim bot, the 2nd turned his on and off to stop being dectected so easily, but i really shud get a life instead of watching cheats on CS servers :p

thats why i play on all tbl servers. the admins dont abuse there power. and even the admin has rules, all the over servers slap me or turn me in to a rocket for no reson,

any way, my clan server which i set up on ftp and amxx " all they do is pay for it " you should come by, again its very few people during the day time,

i would play on the tbl cs server, but its always on aim maps which are boring as hell

as i say use the admin_vote_map "mapname" (without quotes) command in the console :), usually solves the problem

i've not tried it yet but i do intend to, hopefully this weekend.. i've been in their forum though and read a few posts were it has been kicking people for using aimbots when they're not doing..i cant see that affecting me though, i'll have to start actually hitting my target first :D

i'll let you's know what i think of it once i've give it a good try though..

as most of you have just found out theres more anti cheat systems than vac to get rid of the no life cheaters lol.
