heh i must say that this is old :P cant remember how long i've had it :s cant remember where i got it from in the first place ;( such a shame that NS is so crap now adays.

yea some one ported 1.04 into steam but it dousent work half the time which is anoying, other wise id be playing that

1.04 was the best ;) the 6/7 hour long games were so class :( know any NS servers now ? the only one i actually bothered to keep an eye on was the KB server and they quit NS a few months back :\

rofl to be fair we played NS you really needed to give you new guys a taste of CO which is combat mode which is alot easier to understand once you master of thebasis of CO you move onto the compilcated NS gamemode

Whenever anyone from the community asks for a particular server and we supply one noone bothers using it, so what would be the point ?

i was just about to say that prom... take the cs:s server for instance.. people asked and asked, you got and now does anyone play on it?? No!

but can we hav 2, 4 or 6 bots installed on the server like on the TFC norm installed and they they gradually remove themselfs as the server fills

let me state how populer NS servers are http://www.nsarmslab.com/flash/home.htm these people at NS arms lab are charging $60 for a access to a bunch of crape extra stuff serousely NS is more populer than Day of Defeat which means its more populer than TFC and you have two of those servers.

and the problem with the CS: S server is you didnt sell it right..... you gota make it a specilist server so people will play it, bassicaly call is "pro De_dust" or something and youll get it full of de_dust pro specilists like 24/7 i for one am always on the vetrin armslab NS server (its in tornament mode makes it alot harder) and its full of like the pros from the community simply becouse of its name

and slot reservastion bassicaly if you aint reserved and some one with reserved status comes along your randomly kicked, but yea its anoying as hell

dont get an NS server :P and if you must get one i demand that the combat mode be baned from it, the amount of fudging arsewipes + nubs + complete and utter spacktards that it attracts is absolutly amazing, i'll admit it may have changed since i last played but im pessimistic about it.

no combat is still based at CS players which are the dumbest race of players since man begun, so yea no CO mode as it has a feeling of downright stupididty il admit its good traning for nubs though

combat removes the resource and base building element of NS, its bassicaly super dumbed down, normal NS has base building and a commander in a RTS view building the marine bases, the aliens have a builder class called the gorge and go around capturing hive sites and resource towers, its complex, takes about 30 mins for a match (although in 1.04 the games could last to around 8 hours)

i dont care if it is aimed towards CS twunts it still attracts hundreds of nubs >_< as soon as combat came out no-one knew how to play actual NS apart from the vets. its such a shame that BY had to close all its gameservers, could get some really awesome games back in the day ;( i was actually a superb player back then aswell :P easily good enough to take on most of the vets :E alas i quit in 1.04 though and i never gained my leet skills back :\ im still a half decent commander though.

im the guy who runs arouns scremaing "OMG CORN MANDER THERE A LORK ON THE CLOFF WE NEED SHIRTGUNS" and all the vetrins are like laughing there asses off down the mic why a bunch of stupid noobs with aprently "vetrin" status symbol are like WTF??? id like them to all **** off back to what ever game they played before, for some one to burn all version NS after 1.04 it is the only game i can safely say that has got worse after they tried to balance it and add features

187 (just the one server, good crowds (up to 30ish) /menu and /buildmenu)

btw, play it nice, and ill tell you how 3 gorges beat a team of 15 HAs, and won the match single handed ;)
