ppl will be gobsmacked when HL2 does eventually come out, thats if it ever does. So many people have said they wont buy it because they're sick of all the hype/delays.......bet they do!

I sure hope it's not coming out next year... a huge deal of interest in hl2 was gone due to the fact it was coming out in this year. I sincerely hoped I could get it in September (or what month was it again?)...

What gets me is the fact it was delayed about 3 days before release day. 7 months on and its still not finished? Surly they knew a long time before that, that they would never reach the release date?

I just think they screwed us by doing that (delaying it 3 days before release)... I really don't get why they would even delay because some version leaked...

I pre-ordered it from blackstar. The e-mails were coming through saying the release date was 1st April 2004 but it's been changed now for a month or so to 30th July 2004.

There's rumblings around the HL2 forums that it's going to be June however, be prepared for a big presentation at E3 this year incl more footage and maybe an announcement or two :D

I seem to remember them saying you can download the last 3 videos when steam gets released. Kinda late arnt they? :)

Oh, and I think Valve are very good game makers who are just as good at keeping release dates as i am in turning in math homework on time.

This month's PcZone reckon to have new info and screenshots in next month's issue - releases 29/04/04.

Also note that ATI have withdrawn the free HL2 coupons from the 9600XT and 9800XT vid cards :/

Im not too bothered now. I was very excited about getting my hands on my copy and was counting the seconds when it was the last week before release day. After the delayed I did what most did and download the leak. Since then I havent been too bothered about it. I wish I hadnt seen the leak now though, but tbh if someone sticks a £100 infront of you and says take it if you want, I bloody would :)

Just the thought of having installed HL2 and firing it up for the first time, all the anticipation, the Valve splash screen coming up, renews the excitement again.

But then, I'm getting older, you learn alot of patience. It will come out when it comes out, and when it does, I'll be happy.
