The forums now have a rss feed on them so you can keep updated when theres a new thread on the forums. As always youll need a newsreader to read the feed.

Do a google for rss reader or use the one I do which can be found here (http://www.sharpreader.net/)
Sharpreader by default will check for new posts (Default 1 hour) and notify you when there is one. Example in the thumbnail below.

URLs to use are:

http://www.thebanlist.com/forums/external.php?type=rss

or

http://www.thebanlist.com/forums/external.php?type=rss2

I personally use rss2 as you get the thread message rather than just the topic title.

What is RSS? I've seen it here and there but I have no idea what it means or does.

Its mainly used to show up to date news feeds. You can use this here to notify you of new threads on the forum. I suggest you just download an RSS reader and give it a try.

I think if you download Firefox(web broswer, much better then IE in all respects, google it) it has a built RSS tracker.

By default it doesnt (least I dont think it does) but theres extentions for Firefox that will add RSS support. Thunderbird has RSS inbuilt.
