When I view certain threads on this site, I'm getting a pop up box asking me to put in a username and password to connect to Storage.MSN.COM.

I've never seen it myself. Which threads? It may be someone's signature being hosted there.
But as I say, i've never had it come up on mine...

You have a set time within to edit your posts. After which, you can't.

Yaesu

"You have a set time within to edit your posts. After which, you can't."

vB doesn't hide buttons based on time, neither does any other bulletin board software.

SK

vB does actually hide them

So you changed the default settings, heh? May we know why you don't want us to edit our posts after a certain time?

SK

To stop people hiding what they said. Say someone makes a post that others dont like then you will find replies based on this one post. If that person then edited their post the whole lot of posts after this would be irrelevant.

Besides you only really need to edit posts as you've posted them, which is why theres a time limit.
