When you create a forum account now you will be forced to activate your account via an email. This has been turned off for a while now since people said they weren’t receiving the activation emails. You will receive the email but you need to check your junk mail since most forum emails get sent there. People who use hotmail and yahoo also might have to wait a few minutes before the email reaches their inbox due to long delays by each host. This is something we cannot control.
Reason for enabling this is we have a fair amount of users who don't know their own email address's and since the forum emails for various reasons each one is being returned.
If you could please check your email address in your profile just to be sure its not you I would be very grateful.
