Have you ever hacked?

Obviously this site is to report hackers and most people in this forum despise hackers. But, i'm curious, has anybody ever used hacks in the past or atleast tried them? Or perhaps, are on the ban list.

I haven't used any hacks, and I never will. I only cheat in single player games, and even if I cheat in single player games I only use inbuilt cheats... so no hacks to twist the game or anything.

Ive install OGC a long time ago. Reason being I was about to do a fresh Windows reinstall and the company I was admining for needed to test out an anticheat tool on their servers so I agreed to test it for them. Of course ive cheated in single player games but then thats different. I dont see the fun in being the one everyone moans at because your ruining the game. Mind you I think ive done that in the past with my big gob when in game.

oh i cheat all the time, and even use things created just for the pure purpose of cheating ^_^ only ever in single player games though :) never cheated online. never will. Though i will admit most of my mates do / have / may still cheat from time to time on CS :p

Let's be clear about this: "hacking" is not what 99% of these people are doing. What these people are doing is called cheating, pure and simple.

Installing a little utility that changes the game in some way so as to enable you to be more accurate, see through walls, dodge bullets etc.. that doesn't require the user to 'hack' into anything.

What they are doing basically, is running about the maps letting their PC play the game for them.

The obvious ones are sociopaths.

The others just have no idea how to play the game.

As to the question itself - yes.. I installed one cheat program a couple of years ago, to see just what it was like. I found it to be quite sophisticated... you could change your accuracy levels so that you either got constant headshots, or so that you got constant hits in the chest, left arm etc etc... or just so that the accuracy itself is anywhere from 10% to 100%.

I was surprised at just how easy it was to find a cheat utility. I installed it, played a couple of times with bots, and then uninstalled it. I think I reinstalled the game after that too, in case it had changed any .DLL files that might have been detected as cheats online.

I don't see the point in cheating - it detracts from the challenge of the game. People pay money to buy the game and to go online to pit their wits and skill against other humans - NOT against PCs. If you wanna do that, then play with good bots.

i was a terrible hacker on PSO 1&2 and also 3 prob will in blue burst i look at it like this I GOT TO LVL 100 ON FIRST ONE, I CANT BE ARSED TO DO IT AGAIN. So il get all my old equipment back and then start off from where i was, half way to lvl 200 :P

bassicaly i was an extrememly bad hacker on an MMORPG when sega attempted to ban my CD key i jsut got around it ;p. FPS wise iv used a speed hack on TFC worked damn well, ruinning around as a HWGUY as if i where a scout. got rid of it in the end though.

oooo i do actually remember my old NS (god i really miss that game) clan went crazy on our server :D we turned all the cheats on and stuff and we had one shot kills and insta respawn where we were XD could also swap teams in a second a respawn where we were :E some really class inbuilt cheats in that game tbh ^_^
