Well, Steam is taking ages to connect atm but I suppose that's to be expected.

I got motion sickness with Quake 1.

Installed HL2 with Steam. etc. from the retail CD but apparently I still have to download another 50% of the game before I can play it.
Great.

I'm just back from playing it for several hours, and thank God I didn't get motion sickness of this game. I would be really dissapointed. There are no errors for me, the whole game seems to run perfectly smooth on my PC, and I'm running it on a Radeon 9200SE at 800X600 resolution, with settings on medium. :D
