View Full Version : SvenCoop Server IP Change (Completed)

Due to certain network upgrades the IP to the SvenCoop server will be changing. The server will be exactly the same (same PC, settings and configuration etc). The move is actually quite a benefit for us and should make the server more reliable and less prone to lag spikes.

Current Server IP: 195.224.154.234:27016
New Server IP: 195.224.17.5:27016

Well less lag down to network traffic but if theres lag now it will be down to the ever struggling Pentium 3 sat in the server :)

Why the change though? Can't the new server use the old IP?

Well I can but Ill have to change the limit to 5 players due to the new 256k upload cap they are sticking on there.

Hope nothing gets lost/damaged during the server move ;o. Especially the glow ids... *thinks about re-adding them all* EEK O_O

Well when it comes to moving I will only have to change two config lines on the gateway. Technically I shouldnt have to touch the SvenCoop server. If im not busy tomorrow in the office I will move it then.

/me cant wait to play on the server at half term

ow and sk can u get a SERVER UP GRADE or rent a server from somewhere inx-gaming have reasonable prices

no but then i dont work cos i am at school (which fuking suks) (in IT curently which is sooooooo booorrrrrriiiinnnnggggg)
