Already spoken to SK regarding this.

I've been playing Counterstrike for about 2 years now, and I used to host my own server for my friends to play on when I was the only one in our mini-clan to have broadband. Haven't played much recently, mainly due to there not being many decent servers around, but it's never too late to renew the habit.. :)

I think when someone is really interested and reads things like the rats will all drown ( Prommi :p ), they may be a bit intimidated.
I don't know but if I was interested I would be afraid to sign in here because I had to be scared that someone would make jokes of me. :(

Nobody needs to be afraid to put themselves forward for this, nor feel intimidated. We are a good bunch of ppl here and have a good sense of humour, hence proms comment :D

Whoever gets the position/s will be required to play on the server on a regular basis, also idle in IRC regularly so they are available not only to fellow admins, but to the public should they pop in with any questions/queries.

See, there is someones perfect opportunity to play CS all day and have a great reason for doing so :)

Seriously though, server admin work is great fun and above all it makes you feel important...which, lets face it is always a nice thing ;)

I play CS on a regular basis all i wanna do is help and get rid of the noobs that hopefully wont come to terrorise us.
Not having much experience with Rcon or amx never being trueted with my age (which annoys me) i can sensible
After seeing what noobs did to the other CS server i play on they shut it down sadly, cus closing down a server like that is being beaten even with admins :(

After lengthy discussions, there have been 2 new admins selected for the CounterStrike server, they have been notified by email.

The admin team would like to thank all applicants.

Well Pippa, idk if it'd be good to have me as an admin, since I don't often play CS and do won't be able to even use the computer for some (good) time. But I do have the necessary skills in setting up and configuring Steam servers with AdminMod, AMX, MetaMod (3rd party plugins), etc. For some time i had my own Counter Strike server (rarely played on, since CS server are bountyful). I also administered a small TFC server with live HLStats, and if i recall well, i had about a thousand people who played on it in a month. I also used to write a few AdminMod script for myself.

To summerize...
* WON TFC (and CS) Server administration experience
* Can set up and configure Steam servers with 3rd Party modules (MetaMod)
* AdminMod scripting experience
* Apache, PHP, and mySQL administration experience
* PHP and mySQL scripting experience
* Linux server administration experience (mainly Mandrake and Debian)
* Windows server administration experience

So if you need someone as a backupd admin, I'm here (not always unfortunately).

Please dont feel bad if you wasnt choosen. Everyone had cons and pros to being choosen.

There still might be more places to fill depending on how active the server is and how often current admins can play there.
