As you can see from the news (http://www.thebanlist.com/) page we now have a Counter-Strike server kindly donated from our new sponsor CScity (http://www.cscity.co.uk/)
The IP is 195.20.109.155:27055 so feel free to join. The server will of course come in handy on community nights.
If the server is ever passworded then it is probably under maintenance or some sort of testing. If it is passworded on a Community Night (usually wednesdays) then you will probably get the password from IRC (Quakenet #TheBanList). Although if you're reading this then you probably use IRC anyway. ;)
Usual CS rules apply;
Cheating on a server from TheBanList would bit a bit daft as our admins have experience of spotting cheaters. (Again if you're reading this then you know what the site is all about).
This is a close community and i'm sure if anyone looks like they're cheating then they'll get reported to the forum straight away.
Using exploits is a no-go. (Sky Walking. etc.) You'll get warned once or twice but persist and you'll get reprimanded accordingly.
Racism/Abuse - Goes without saying. Rascism will not be tolerated. Try and keep the abuse down. Yes, we all get a little hot-headed when we lose, but going on and on isn't the way to go, just try harder to kill the guy. ;). If you think the person is cheating then get spectating and send a demo in.
Server Rules: (summary)
* No Intentional Team Killing and/or Team Wounding.
* No Cheating.
* No Excessive Swearing. No Using Foul Language or Ethnic Slurs.
* No Spamming the team_say, all-say, or voice-comm channels.
* No Whining.
* No Unsportsmanlike Conduct.
Sorry if any of this seems harsh but I think you'll find most servers, if not all, have the same rules.
