Sometimes, when a person records a demo of someing hacking, he is on a server which has a few mods which require custom files. However, when a person who hasnt got the files views the demo, he/she will get errors saying the file is missing and as such cannot view the demo.
What I am suggesting is that people try and get the custom files and include them in the zip so we can view demos and future demos with those mods. I know it might be hard to do but its just a suggestion.

Some people will include custom maps etc with the demos they submit. If we do try to view a demo and blah blah.whatever is missing then we usually do a Google search. Tbh I think there has only ever been 1 time when I've had to ask SK if he has a certain file (which he did), apart from that if we need a specific file in order to view the demo & our searches have provided nothing, we normally PM the person and ask if they can send it to us.
Not a bad idea tho to request ppl include these types of things in the zip file if they r not the 'norm'.

Its hard to find out though what files are required. With AMX being everywhere these days it makes it alot more simple for server admins to add custom sprites. This means its near damned impossible to find the sprite on the net. Ive got to the point where I ask for the IP so I can join the server in hope its going to send me the file I need.
There was one person in the past who sent the relevant custom maps with the demos. This was useful except some of them needed custom wads to go with them.

make a copy of one of the exisiting sprites and rename it to the custom sprite's name.
same for sound.
same for models.
should work, since the demos are mainly there to show the offense, and i don't think minor details such as sprites and sounds would be needed to determine cheats.
