There have been a couple maps that Ive recently played that were pretty good and well considering thebanlist is one of the only servers I play at maybe we/SK could add them onto the cycle.

The first is RooftopWar (http://ce-x.net/Mad_Max/mapssite/rtw.htm). Recently suggested to me though released awhile back. Challenging map and great architecture. I think others would enjoy it. :)

The second is IceStormX (http://www.svencoop.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18807). I havent played through this with others and only play tested most of it alone but yeah its another that was fun.

I dont believe either of those are in any map packs as of now. There are plenty more that Id like to suggest though Ill just leave it at those two now. One map I am looking for though... I belive its the sequal to BlackOps when you are teleported to Xen. Not sure where I played it (very well could have been on thebanlist) but thats another Id suggest if only I knew the name. Anyone else have suggestions of orignial and fun maps maybe we could add on to the cyle at thebanlist ?

Ill install them now. I was thinking about a custom map day like the map pack day. That was dependant on how map pack day went. These wont appear in the normal mapcycle but will be available to vote. Ill update this post to let you know when they are ready for voting.
The blackops map is taken from the Operation Retribution series. I think blackops is opr1a5.bsp or at least one from the series. Yes this map continues on another planet. Blackops is actually one of my fravorite maps.

Ah I think I know which rooftop war is now, is that the one where theres a shed load of snipers on the other side? If it is I wasnt keen, but then I think it was only me and Miz at the time which meant we were getting wasted.

Wow, didnt know blackops was part of a series. Ill have to check out the Operation Retribution series then. :) The other planet/Xen was the first time I had seen any continuation before.

I like the ideas of a custom map day... sorta like Super Map Sunday (hehe, blatant joe.to Super Mod Sunday knock off). Ill look forward to that in the future then. Maybe after Map Pack Friday kicks off we could start some votes for the future of a custom map day. [/shrug]

Rooftop wars is tough alone though once youre past the second roof its interesting. Recommended just cause its a different style map sorta. It was a nice change when I played even if I got wasted every other spawn. :)

Well the first time Rooftop Wars was played on the server it was voted off to IceStormX. I voted as well as I didnt mind. I wanted to play both maps and there were only 3 of us.

So... considering I understand the frustration of being killed on spawn I ripented the map to have a sniper rifle and ammo on spawns to give an even battle (though if youre clever you can pistol some of the assassins from afar which is better in my opinion). That way the team can split up. One half go below and fight the grunts and the other stay above and fend off the assassins for the move over and respawners. I wanted to place them behind the vents as that would leave a little more challenge (getting to maybe) although I couldnt get the coordinates to work so I just used the spawn points.

SK if you would like to use the ripent I can send it to you as I dont have anywhere to host (and I dont want to create/dig up a crap account). Or we could do it properly sometime and get the coordinates and place them behind the vents. Up to you. But maybe this way the map wont be such a bummer when its played and end some frustration.
